Track of the Day #1046: Kyoto Kyoto – So

London based art-rock favourites Kyoto Kyoto return today with their first release of 2023 ‘So‘! In true Kyoto Kyoto style it’s an intense, experimental track that’s noisy and with hints of krautrock thrown in as well. ‘So’ continues to solidify Kyoto Kyoto as one of the most exciting noise-rock bands of right now, a must-see live as well.

Speaking of the track, the band have said: “‘So’ means “like this” in German. The text is about how serious specific and ill-considered decisions about people can be. Small decisions that are not properly thought through or behaviour that is damaging in any way shape or form can have consequences (personally) far into the future. As with art and “larger than life” work, human relationships are also about priority and maturity and context.”
