Discover: Pynch – London

A few days ago London based indie-rock band Pynch released their latest single ‘London‘. It’s a melancholy track that’s laced with nostalgia in true Pynch style. It also has a suitably catchy chorus despite the more doom and gloom lyrical content. ‘London’ is a single taken from the band’s debut album ‘Howling at a Concrete Moon’ which is set for release on 14th April 2023.

Speaking of the track, Pynch have said: “It’s a song about the housing crisis in London and coming of age during a time of seemingly endless economic turmoil. As a young person, it can sometimes feel like we’ve been cheated in a way and denied some of the more traditional milestones that come with growing up.”

“Even though I’ve written it about London, I think people are feeling similar things in cities all over the world and this song is an exploration of that. It’s quite bleak subject matter but we’ve tried to approach it in a playful way.”
