‘The Waves and What’s Under‘ is an improvised piece of experimental cello music by Seattle based Lori Goldston. On first listen this might seem like discordant cello, but on deeper/further listens this is a very expressive, mournful piece of music. After all, this is part of a collection of solo, improvised memorials for Goldston’s friend and Canadian artist-musician Geneviève Elverum. ‘The Waves and What’s Under’ is taken from Lori Goldston’s forthcoming album ‘High and Low’ which is set for release on 7th October 2022 via SofaBurn.
