Track of the Day #914: Youth Sector – Self Exile

Youth Sector - Self ExileSelf Exile‘ is the latest track from Brighton based art-rock band Youth Sector! In true Youth Sector style it’s an angular, jaunty track, but this time ‘Self Exile’ is a playful and chaotic track that bumbles along excitedly. It’s a punchy track that’ll get stuck in your head.

Speaking of the track, Nick Tompkins of Youth Sector has said: “’Self Exile’ is about feeling self-destructive, cutting your nose to spite your face, and wanting to push yourself away from those around you as punishment. The lyric “That should do it this time” is written in the mindset of thinking you’ve finally hit someone’s final nerve.”
