Instrumental: Inwards – Mouse

Mouse‘ is the latest track from Worcestershire based multi-instrumentalist Inwards. The track is filled with hypnotic melodies from start to finish, they change only fleetingly but this just adds to the dreamier side of ‘Mouse’. It’s a very peaceful track that’s filled with various intricacies and noises that add a chirpier edge to an otherwise melancholy track.

Speaking of the track, Inwards has said: “It’s a song about infinity, its relation to the human spirit, and how we manifest it in our lives. Through the music video, we wanted to display the hypnotic thirst that comes with this attachment to our infinite identity and the inevitable passage of “time”. “Modern anxiety” has become an umbrella term for all the insecurity, uncertainty, and confusion we experience. We think it’s important that we continue to visualise, deconstruct, and create a deeper language to discuss a feeling that has become universal yet elusive.”
