Discover: Kristian Eveleigh – Happy Halloween (Feat. The Boogie Men)

“Holiday Music” very rarely makes an appearance on the blog if at all, however, I was meaning to post this track around Halloween but it didn’t happen… As we don’t post about Christmas music, I like the irony of posting a Halloween track three days into December, so here it is!

This spooky track is by Portsmouth based Kristian Eveleigh (better known from top local band Web) and features “The Boogie Men”! ‘Happy Halloween‘ is a crossover between dark wave as well as doom-electronica and it even has its more dancier parts. This is a frantic track that features warped, ghoulish sounds synonymous of Halloween combined with chirpy, yet unnerving synth use an ominous vocal parts. ‘Happy Halloween’ isn’t your stereotypical ghostly tune, it’s experimental and more fun. Speaking of the track/video, Kristian has said: “The whole thing was a two week challenge to make a hit track with a not so hit video”.
