Following the release of their ocean-themed EP ‘Oceanum: Shallows’, instrumental artist SVVN is back with the first cut taken from their forthcoming space-themed EP! ‘Singularity‘ is, once again, a super ambient piece of music from SVVN and it’s super-chilled out. The track meanders along and is very celestial for the most part until around a minute before the end it picks up the pace with various cosmic, bassier sounds.
Speaking of the track, SVVN has said: “In the summer of 2019, I spent a month in Joshua Tree working with some friends on a different music project and wrote these songs at night when everyone else was sleeping. I would walk outside and gaze up at the stars. I hadn’t spent any time in the desert before this experience, and I was amazed to see the scale of the cosmic display that appeared every night after the sun went down. A singularity is a point where space and time are no longer interrelated realities but merge indistinguishably and cease to have any independent meaning. I wrote this song about how boundless I feel when I’m reminded that I am a part of an endless and ever-expanding universe.”
