Track of the day #767: Samuel H James – Summer

Portsmouth based multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer Samuel H James recently released this hypnotic track ‘Summer‘! The track contrasts its name with a chilling, doom-filled synth melody drives through it. The only warmth that seeps through is from the folk-tinged, acoustic rhythms that anchor the track. ‘Summer’ has its roots in post-punk and dark-wave but I feel like that’s a lazier comparison as this is much more experimental.
