York based Parker Lee returned today with their latest EP ‘Scrundle‘ and ‘Bullpen‘ is the latest single taken from the release! In true Parker Lee fashion, it’s a lo-fi, very easy-listening offering that’s both melancholic and even vulnerable. ‘Bullpen’ has a brief, chaotic breakdown that kicks things up towards the end before drifting away into the night.
Speaking of the track, Jowan from Parker Lee has said: “‘Bullpen’ is a song I wrote about playing scrabble with your emotions whilst navigating horribly crowded city streets on a Saturday night. It was kind of evoked by some guy in a fight getting knocked out in Leeds station after a football match – he hit the ground like a bowling ball’.
If you like ‘Bullpen’, be sure to check out the rest of Parker Lee’s EP ‘Scrundle‘ here! It’s also Bandcamp Friday for a couple more hours, so all proceeds will go straight to the band if you purchase the release today!
