Bristol’s Home Counties recently returned with their second single, the angular, jaunty track that is ‘Dad Bod‘. It’s a minimal, post-punk track with insanely catchy guitar parts that contrast its more chaotic parts. ‘Dad Bod’ is the second single to be taken from Home Counties debut EP which is set for release this September.
Speaking of the track, songwriter/vocalist Will Harrison has said: “‘Dad Bod’ explores modern middle-class masculinity, with a particular focus upon the ‘progressive’ metropolitan man. The song initially takes a light-hearted standpoint listing the aesthetic traits and status symbols of modern men before moving on to address a darker side which is hidden behind the comfortability and respectfulness of a ‘Dad Bod’.”
