Track of the day #667: Rebecka Reinhard – No Release

This immersive, easy-listening offering is from Swedish dream-pop artist Rebecka Reinhard! ‘No Release‘ is the latest track to be taken from her forthcoming EP ‘Whale’ which is set for release on 31st August. It’s a subtle offering that blends minimal, melancholic guitar rhythms with stunning vocals creating a winning combination. ‘No Release’ drifts along for the most part, but towards the end it really erupts into something momentous and chaotic.

Speaking of the track, Rebecka Reinhard has said: “This song is where all the parts of me that are ever tired, hurt, worn out and fed up get to have their say. Tell their ugly version of the story. But it’s not a wallowing in self-pity. It’s a slow, rumbling war cry. An anthem being pushed relentlessly towards the edge of the cliff and finally hurled into the void.”
