I wasn’t 100% on this track to start with, but it was charming enough to make me give it a second listen and it’s definitely a grower. ‘Many Moons‘ is the latest track from Tennessee based indie-pop duo Common Heights and it’s a dreamy offering. The track combines minimal percussion with delicate, acoustic melodies which compliment the drifty vocals perfectly. This kicks up a notch in the chorus. ‘Many Moons’ will also be complimented by a lyric video which is set for release in a few weeks.
Speaking of the track the band have said: “It’s all about a relationship that has gone dry or stale. It’s looking back and realising what you’ve lost along the way, whether through your own fault or not. I think we’ve all had a relationship like that in life – where it felt so free and good at first and then it just got caught up in the mire of daily life. You hate to lose that charm, that spark, but it does happen. This song is a meditation and reflection on that process.”
