Calum Lintott is a Southampton based solo artist that we’ve been aware of for quite a while now but only managed to catch him live for the first time last year and were impressed. He released his latest single ‘Hideaway’ towards the end of last year which is probably his best and most catchy yet (listen below).
With a performance at Icebreaker Festival this weekend as well as his recent announcement of a support slot with VANT in Paris next month, we though this was a good time to have a brief catch up with Calum!
Hi there! Firstly, so that our readers can know a bit more about you, please introduce yourself:
The name’s Calum Lintott! I’m 26 and I write catchy indie rock tunes.
Your latest single ‘Hideaway’ was released recently and it’s an insanely catchy track. But if you had to sum it up in three words, what would they be?
Raucous, loud, singalong!
This Saturday (25th January) you’re set to to play Icebreaker Festival 2020 at The Wine Vaults! If you could tour the world alongside two other bands/artists playing at Icebreaker Festival this year, who would it be?
The Pretty Visitors and DJUNO! (Conveniently we also recently interviewed both these bands and you can find theirs via the respective links).
You’ve also just announced that you’re off to Paris to support VANT next month! If you could play live absolutely anywhere in the world where would it be and why?
I’d really love to play in New York, it’s just my favourite place ever!
Finally, have you got anything to share regarding upcoming gigs and what have you got planned over the first half of 2020?
Yes, I’ve got my biggest ever headline show at The 1865 in Southampton on 25th April (with support from BASH!)! Grab tickets quick before it sells out!
