Track of the day #577: The Wants – The Motor

‘The Motor‘ is the latest track from Brooklyn post-punk trio The Wants, the third track taken from their forthcoming debut album ‘Container’ which is set for release in March. The track is immediate and in your face from the word go. There’s a razor sharp, simple but effective riff that drives the track and never lets up throughout. ‘The Motor’ is filled with a dark intensity up until its chaotic end.

Speaking of the track, The Wants have said that the track is inspired by David Lynch’s “Lost Highway” and that they wanted to generate that feeling of unstoppable locomotion throughout the track.

‘The Motor’ is taken from The Wants forthcoming debut album ‘Container’ which is set for release on 13th March 2020.
