Fresh: Joyeater – Dragging On

Another near-two minute track for today! Here’s a track from Florida based grunge/post-punk quartet Joyeater with ‘Dragging On‘, a track that does nothing of the sort. Infectious melodies take hold of the track from the word go giving the track quite a buoyant feel, only being weighted down by the driven, weighty bassline. ‘Dragging On’ is taken from the Joyeater’s debut album ‘Naysayer’ which features tracks just as concise as this one.

Speaking of the track Joyeater have said: “This song is about mental health, and the dragging on and on of the everyday, the dread of the moments ahead, and the damage it wreaks on your past. About how you can give everything to try and appease something like Bipolar Disorder, but that it’ll never be satisfied. How running away just isn’t a realistic option.”
