9 Bands you can’t miss at Victorious Festival 2019!

In just a few weeks time (23rd-25th August) Victorious Festival returns to Southsea Common for 2019. The family friendly festival is a favourite amongst many especially for its unique seaside location as well as its extraordinary lineups. This year sees Two Door Cinema Club, The Specials, Rudimental and New Order headline the festival joined by the likes of The Vaccines, Razorlight, Ash and many more.

It’s not just about the headliners or bigger acts though, there’s a huge range of local as well as up and coming acts playing across the weekend so here are nine gems you can’t afford to miss across the weekend!

Jerry Williams

In brief: Jerry William’s music is feel-good, witty indie-pop with a fun vibe. Her story-telling tracks will charm regardless of your taste in music and there’s something for everyone from upbeat ‘Grab Life’ to the emotional ballad of ‘David At The Bar’.

Alice Jemima

In brief: Singer-songwriter Alice Jemima combines subtle electronica with classical guitar influences and floaty atmospherics. Latest single ‘Dancing In Love’ taken from her forthcoming album ‘Everything Changes’ is a punchy, even dancier take on previous offerings.

Colour of the Jungle

In brief: Favourites live, Colour of the Jungle will be bringing their rock n roll inspired, emotion-filled, catchy alt-rock tracks to Victorious Festival. The band recently released ‘Steel Tray’ that’s been going down a storm live for a while.

In brief: Hooli are always fun live and specialise in blues-tinged, indie-rock with a funky edge. The band recently released an EP of their favourite tracks to play live.
