4 Bands You Can’t Miss at Follow The Sun Festival, Portsmouth 2019

In less than two weeks, CloseUp Promotions returns to the Edge of the Wedge, Portsmouth bringing their Follow The Sun Festival back for its second instalment. Following a successful debut last year where Wild Front headlined alongside Bel Esprit, Marsicans and more, the festival returns with an even more impressive lineup. Isle of Wight’s Lauran Hibberd is set to headline the all festival alongside a whole host of upcoming bands/artists.

To be honest, you really shouldn’t be missing anyone who’s playing Follow The Sun Festival because there are absolutely no clashes, but here are four bands/artists you really need to check out. Also worth mentioning that the tickets are only £10 at the moment which is an absolute steal for a lineup on this calibre especially in a venue of this size.

You can find the full lineup for Follow The Sun Festival II here.

Dutch Criminal Record

In Brief: Chichester based indie, surf-rock band with upbeat, funky tracks packed to the brim with catchy guitar melodies and summery vibes.

Sad Palace

In Brief: If you’ve been following this blog for even just a short while then you’ll probably know that Sad Palace are one of our favourite local bands. We think this “supernatural groove-rock band” should be one of your favourites too. Their latest EP ‘Longbaby’ is a fine collection of funky but ambient tracks.
