Instrumental: Chris Tuttle – City Lights

City Lights‘ is the second instrumental track from Nashville based composer, songwriter and producer Chris Tuttle. The main melody of this track sits on a bubbly, effervescent bed of lively synths which are grounded by a monotonous beat for the most part. This is until its stripped back to its bare bones with a brief piano interlude which is heightened by its almost haunting atmospherics. ‘City Lights’ is certainly cinematic in nature and it highlights just how well an instrumental piece can convey a story without words.

Speaking of ‘City Lights’ and its artwork, Chris Tuttle has said: “There’s a beautiful view in the Hollywood Hills where I took the photo for the artwork. I love the vast lights of the city and how it gives a sense of wonderment. Makes you feel like anything is possible”.
