Instrumental: Bonobo – Ibrik

I think I was recommended Bonobo a few years back but what I’d originally heard was a little more on the dance side for what I usually like and therefore I didn’t quite get into them. However, yesterday I was sent their latest track, ‘Ibrik‘ and it may have changed things for me. Standard 4/4 melodies are joined by a mournful roar of eastern instrumentation that completes the space in between the bubbly, effervescent melodies. ‘Ibrik’ is an ambient piece which calms as the track progresses onwards with warm atmospheric parts.
