Track of the day #355: Dorvin Borman – Wrath

Twinkling and shimmering away from the word go. The latest track from Dorvin Borman, entitled ‘Wrath‘, is a spectacular mixture of charming and grief-tinged vocals with rolling melodies. ‘Wrath’ makes use of a reverb-laden drum machine beat which keeps the track anchored down from its dreamy, cloudy ways. The combination of colourful, restless instrumentation alongside more gloomy vocals works more than it sounds like it should. Putting the uneasiness of trying to break free from homebody anxiety into unknown territories into musical form, the track is said to be “a meditation on overcoming anxiety in the center of a city as neurotic as Los Angeles.”
