‘Baby‘ is the latest track from Melbourne dream-pop quintet SUN. It’s a jangly, psych-pop track brimmed full of repetitive, roaming guitar melodies. This quirky track takes a stroll through its funky verses and upbeat, maybe even cheesy choruses. ‘Baby’ is fun, laid-back and charming. It’s a pop-ier return for the band in comparison to their previous two tracks ‘Seasons’ and ‘Blue Velvet’ released earlier this year.
Speaking of the track, the band have said: “’Baby’ was written over a year ago just as we were starting the band, Sam really dug this riff I had that was part of a whole different song at the time . The chorus is total cheese, I almost didn’t want to sing those lyrics because I felt it was super naff, but the guys convinced me to keep it’s cheesy pop goodness.”
