Track of the day #262 : Wintermilk – Neon Reflection

Taken from their latest album ‘Pretty Ugly’ (in which their music could never be described as), St Petersburg based shoegaze/electro-pop trio Wintermilk‘s track ‘Neon Reflection‘ is an eerie, post-punk number.
‘Neon Reflection’ is haunting with bleak percussion and just generally feels dark throughout. I’m not 10% fussed by the more colourful melodies near the beginning as they feel a bit too contrasting for my liking, but as the track moves towards a close, it becomes much more powerful and consistent.
