Sam Airey – Epitaph

Fresh from releasing his debut album ‘In Darkened Rooms’ last week, ‘Epitaph’ is the latest single from Leeds via North Wales solo musican Sam Airey’s. ‘In Darkened Rooms’ has been long-awaited following singles, such as award-winning ‘The Blackout’ as well as EP’s over the past few years.

‘Epitaph’ is a charming, indie-folk track with an anxious beat and hefty, solid choruses. Despite not being something that I’d usually go for, the track is alluring in a way with a glimmer of magic to it throughout. There’s something about ‘Epitaph’ which also┬áreminds me of Editors in a way, mostly from the instrumentation.
