Los Campesinos! have shared a video for ‘Sick Scenes’ opening track, ‘Renato Dall’Ara (2008)’ featuring footage from their latest US tour.
Los Campesinos! latest album ‘Sick Scenes‘ came after a three year hiatus and has proven that the band are just as relevant as ever despite this, even receiving five star reviews from both Dork and Upset magazine.
Speaking of ‘Renato Dall’Ara (2008)’ and its accompanying video, Gareth from Los Campesinos! has said: “the track is named after the setting for David Platt’s Last 16 winner at Italia 90, and about the politics of music scenes and losing your edge. We have balanced this out by setting it to a video of tour footage from our recent US tour to illustrate that we are no more irrelevant than we have ever been and still a semi-popular band.
Eleven years after forming, the North American tour we just had was our most enjoyable and successful to date. We start a UK tour this week, and figured that footage of young Americans having fun at our concerts would be encouragement for people to attend.”
The release follows their recent sell-out US tour and precedes their upcoming UK tour which starts on 27th April at Liverpool Arts Centre.
Los Campesinos! will be supported by Sløtface for the first half of the tour and for the second half, commencing in May, the band will be supported by Muncie Girls.
