Pond share title track from their upcoming album ‘The Weather’.

Pond have shared their latest track, ‘The Weather’ which is taken from their forthcoming album of the same name which is set for release on 5th May.

Mix It All Up Pond The WeatherEarlier this year, Pond detailed their latest album and stated that ‘The Weather’ is set to be a concept album “focusing on all the weird contradictory things that make up a lot of colonial cities around the world”.

On the track, Nicholas Allbrook of Pond has said: “Our friend Evelyn told us about an old game – a card game or something – called ‘The Worst Case Scenario Survival Game’. ‘The Weather’ is about reality’s penchant for unearthly deceleration in moments of total disaster and panic (micro and macro), and the real – flawed and silly and irredeemably human – humans who experience them. In these moments – when there is no more fan for the shit to hit – the once vain and frivolous pleasures of life seem so… not. ”

Pond are set to play six live dates around the UK in June as part of their UK/EU tour in support of ‘The Weather’ with full details being available here.
