Happyness announce new album plus UK/Ireland tour dates.

Following their critically acclaimed debut album ‘Weird Little Birthday’s success, Happyness have finally announced details of their second album entitled ‘Write In‘ which is set for release on April 7th.

unnamedFollowing an NME Award, a million Spotify plays and a few world tours later, the bands highly anticipated second album will finally be upon us in April as well as a UK/Ireland tour.

Speaking of the record, Jon EE Allan sums up ‘Write In‘ as “I’d like to think this record looks outside the little American alt-rock sphere we were looking in on. I think we used to be very afraid of being earnest. And now we’re able to be tender or heartfelt without feeling too guilty about it.”

‘Write In’ is said to have only cost the band a mere £500 to make with that having been spent on just “an 8 track tape recorder and a dehumidifier”.

Both Happyness albums have been recorded at the affectionately named “Jelly Boy Studios” which is set for redevelopment at the end of the year.

Following the album announcement, the band have also announced a string of UK/Ireland tour dates including their biggest London show to date at The Dome, Tufnell Park.
