Track of the day #164: Former Faces – Back Up A Minute

We spoke to Former Faces a few months back around the release of their debut single ‘The Runaround‘ which was released in October. Since then, the band have gone on to release another track ‘Back Up A Minute‘.

The track was written shortly the death of Ryan Parmenter’s (vocalist) grandfather. Speaking about the track he said “The verses are a final conversation I wish we’d had, and the choruses are a reminder that loss is a universal experience. At some point, we all long to move on”. ‘Back Up A Minute’ is peaceful, blissful with melancholic temperaments throughout.
