Track of the day #142 : Best Friend – Can You Believe It?

Dubbed as “music made entirely in a cave for people who live partially in caves” by the band themselves, Best Friend is the musical project of Nashville based musician Peter Fox McCarville. ‘Can You Believe It?’ is a track taken from his latest album, also of the same name, which was released last month.

‘Can You Believe It?’ combines melancholic drawn out synths with jangly, melodic guitars creating a unique sound which bridges the gap between sad and happy, in an almost anxious way. The drone of the vocals keeps the track grounded from its dream-likeness.

You can listen to ‘Can You Believe It?’ below via Bandcamp and also purchase it on Best Friend’s album digitally or physically via cassette here. Best Friend can be found on Facebook and Twitter.
