Track of the day #125 : WHARVES – It's You

Wharves are an Australian, indie-pop quartet and their latest single ‘It’s You‘ is definitely one of the most exciting tracks that I’ve come across this year.
‘It’s You’ is a danceable, upbeat track which grabs you from the word go. The track oddly combines the sounds of mid-2000’s indie pop with choruses that are reminiscent of Arctic Monkeys with verses which remind me of Franz Ferdinand. The track still keeps an air of originality about it though with its bold vocals and confident chugging guitars throughout. The track’s production is also worthy of a mention, sharp and absolutely on point.
