Track of the day #101 : Team Picture – Birthday Blues

Today’s track of the day is from Team Picture who are a Leeds based, post punk/fuzz quintet. They recently released their debut track ‘Birthday Blues’ and we were instantly impressed from first listen.

‘Birthday Blues’ is fuzz driven, with swooping synths with an almost clockwork faint synth melody throughout. The track builds excitement, chugging away throughout and showcases clear psych-pop influences and in a way, is quite reminiscent of Yeti Lane’s track ‘Analogue Wheel’. Despite being quite complex, instrumentally, the track is very minimal vocal-wise with near illegible lyrics. We’re intrigued to hear more from Team Picture as this is an incredibly promising debut track!
