Three bands you cannot miss at Pie & Vinyl’s two day Record Store Day event.
Hosted by Pie & Vinyl, this free, family friendly two day festival will take place along Castle Road bringing the best of local bands to Southsea this weekend. Over 40 independent traders from Castle Road, Southsea itself will also be holding stalls alongside the music on the weekend too.
Here are three bands that you cannot fail to miss over the weekend.
Blaenavon

Blaenavon are a Hampshire based, three-piece, indie band. While still teenagers and yet to release their debut album, their sound and live presence is said to be the standard of a band with at least a few albums under their belt.
New Desert Blues

Fresh from releasing their debut album ‘To Be On My Own’, New Desert Blues have showcased a unique blend of mature pop sensibilities and guitar melodies. The band are said to be outstanding live, with use of “up to four guitars at a time and polyphonic vocals”, the band are a must-see live.
Left With Pictures

Left With Pictures are an orchestral pop ensemble from London. With third album ‘Afterlife’, which is set for release at the end of this month, they’re said to have a more evolved sound mainly from having expanded their sound to explore creativity.
