Fresh: Interpol – Fine Mess

I’ve been listening to this on repeat for the last 24 hours and I’m still not bored of yet, but then yet again it is a track by Interpol after all. This latest surprise track, ‘Fine Mess‘ is a changeable track that on first listen even lives up to its name because it almost feels like about three tracks in one. But maybe that’s what makes it so listenable and the fact that it pretty much loops back around on itself once it ends. It’s a harsher counterpart following on from Interpol’s latest album ‘Marauder’ which was released last year but carries through the album’s urgency.

Speaking of the track Paul Banks from the band has said: “‘Fine Mess’ is about a sanguine and starry pair, buoyed and dashed alike by their own dreams and appetites”.

Interpol have recently announced three UK live appearances for 2019 with dates as following:

25th May – All Points East, London w/ The Strokes

25th June – o2 Academy, Leeds
26th June – Brighton Dome, Brighton
