Fresh: Violet – Jaded

A longing nostalgia haunts Birmingham based quintet Violet‘s latest track ‘Jaded‘. Following up their debut track ‘Feel’, this track has showed another side to the band, they’ve kept their shoegazing, yearning side to their music, but ‘Jaded’ has a mellower feel to it. Lingering verses are brought to life by their catchy chorus counterparts.

Speaking of the track Luke Brickett Haycock of the band has said: “‘Jaded’ felt special, it was written in a trance like state where it all just kind of blossomed from out of nowhere one night. It’s about that feeling when something, whatever it is, gets ingrained and stuck in your head but you just want it gone and it doesn’t leave…”

Violet are playing various gigs across the next few months, so you can catch them live at the following:

11th April – Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen, London
21st April – The Jericho Tavern, Oxford
27th April – o2 Academy, Birmingham
