Preceding their slot at Victorious Festival later this month, this weekend Marmalade Moonshine will be performing at Harlequin Bar, Portsmouth Guildhall on 12th August. Inspired by the likes of Oasis, The Beatles and The Arctic Monkeys, Marmalade Moonshine are carving a unique form of their own indie-rock with lashings of Britpop where needed. Catchily titled latest single ‘Was It The Thought Of Being In Love That Made You Leave?‘ is full of catchy guitar riffs alongside frantic vocals. ‘I’m On Form’ (listen below) is very much what the band can describe themselves as.
Marmalade Moonshine will be joined by two young bands, The Collision as well as Lucky 13 on the night. The Collision are fronted by Lewis Smith and are a band who have grown considerably in a short time. The indie-rock quintet have sold out Joiners, Southampton in the past and have played various gigs and festivals locally and further afield. The Collision have also just been announced as one of the headliners for Southsea’s Icebreaker Festival next February. Lucky 13 are a Portsmouth based band playing a mixture of covers alongside their own music. The band have gone from strength to strength over the past few years performing in and around the local area.
