Track of the day #111 : The Suncharms – Wash Away

The Suncharms are a Sheffield based shoegaze band. The band originally formed back in 1989, but have recently reunited and released a retrospective CD compilation on Cloudberry Records. The Suncharms are also now working on new music.

Wash Away‘ is quite an upbeat track, yet still fuzzy with chugging guitars throughout. The track also shows clear indie influences in rhythm and guitar melodies, but the reverb heavy vocals and near indecipherable lyrics give the track its distinct dreamy sound.

You can find The Suncharms on Facebook and Twitter, plus you can listen to ‘Wash Away’ below and also purchase their self-titled album via Bandcamp by clicking here.
