Track of the day #105 : The Diamond Age – Popular Science

The Diamond Age are a Southampton based, dream-pop band and ‘Popular Science‘ is the first taster from the trio’s upcoming EP which is set for release later this year.

‘Popular Science’ is a rather catchy track which is full of ascending riffs and doused in reverb. The track radiates warmth in a positive manner with mildly jangly guitars which gives a nod to The Smiths, alongside other 80s influences but in a contemporary manner which makes this track stand out.

You can listen to ‘Popular Science’ by The Diamond Age below and you can catch the band live at Ventnor Fringe Festival on 14th August 2016. Also, you can find the band on Facebook and Twitter.

Yes it really reminds me of a few Southampton bands in the eighties but with more polished sound technology.
